Chopper Spins Out of Control into Palm Groves at Well-Known Southern California Shoreline
An aircraft flying over a crowded coastal beach abruptly started spinning uncontrollably, eventually descending rapidly and crashing into a row of palm groves as spectators watched.
Videos posted online capture the helicopter starting to spin near the shoreline then plunging in the direction of the perimeter of the coast, where it ends up lodged among palm trees and a set of stairs near the coastal road.
Rescue Operation Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five individuals were taken to hospital involving two who were in the helicopter and were “extracted safely from the crash site” subsequent to the crash on the weekend.
Three people on the pavement were injured. Specifics on their condition were not immediately available.
The reason for the accident was still under investigation.

Authorities indicated the aircraft was connected to an regular “Cars and Copters” fundraising event planned for the next day.
